Imaginarium III – Cowboys vs Aliens, Sat 30th June

By on June 15, 2012

London’s only fetish/rave crossover night returns to Union in Vauxhall on Saturday June 30th.

Continuing to expand on their galactic frontiersman mythology, Imaginarium III sees ‘Captains’ Lynch the Hangman and Voodootronix in trouble, as their crew and ship are beset by aliens emanating from the ‘Sub-Bass Anomaly’. Alleged to have hallucinatory and aphrodisiac properties, the Aliens have released a mystery virus into the life support systems of Starship Imaginarium – causing ship wide mayhem and dereliction of duties. A great excuse to spray yourself green and don a stetson if ever there was one.

The last event was widely reported as a very welcome addition to the London’s alternative party scene, successfully fusing elements of both the rave and fetish worlds and drawing comparisons to a youthful Torture Garden. An enforced alternative dress code kept the atmosphere fun and immersive, quality DJs saw dance floors packed with beautiful people, whilst more risqué party-goers made good use of the Red Light Deck upstairs. The promoters are committed to creating a deeper sense of fantasy this time, and are expecting to sell out for this third event.

Once again presenting two rooms of music, a commercial zone dubbed the Imaginarimart and a couples ‘deck’, Imaginarium caters for all kinds of party-goers – whether they want to socialise, lose it on the dance floor, get kinky or just indulge in a bit of people-watching.

The main ‘Bridge’ room will be handling the sweaty end of things with a bass heavy concoction of breaks, electro, drum’n’bass, jungle and dubstep. Promoters Lynch the Hangman and Rob Voodoo aka Voodootronix headline with their distinctively frenetic hard bass music styling’s, backed up by London fetish scene veteran and Imaginarium resident Simon Iridium, producer Freethos and liquid/electro drum & bass meister Tequila Slammer.

The Pleasure Deck alternates between DJs playing an eclectic mix of pop, house, breaks, liquid and glitch hop and live burlesque performances presented by host Missa Blue. Featured live performers at the next event include Missa herself alongside the internationally acclaimed Lolly Lethal and multi-disciplinarian model and physical artiste Sophia Disgrace. Returning to selector duties are pop duo Twisted Kitten and rising talent DJ Electra, G Minor and free party legend DJ Sy Hackney. Also, we are very pleased to have fetish scene veteran DJ from Skin Two, Subversion and the Dirty DJs, Marky Moo headlining in room 2! Kinksters be ready to get down and dirty!
