Festival of Sins, at a new and larger venue! London, Saturday 9th October

By on August 27, 2010

Now in its fourth year, Festival of Sins is a bi-monthly perv/crossover club – meaning it’s perfect for those who find the more full-on fetish scene a bit daunting – and just the place for first-timers, or the fetish curious who just want to dip a toe into the waters of pervery.

Making its first appearance in October is the pervy play area called Tales of Sins, consisting of booths around in which the different deadly sins can be experienced and a central area with play equipment which will also host demos.

Other spaces include dedicated dance arena the Den of Sins, performance and exhibitor room Circus of Sins, an installation and merchandise area, and a dedicated photo studio. Entertainments between 9pm and 2.30 pm will include three fashion shows, plus dark cabaret and fetish performances. Each is themed to a particular sin, with a mixture of sexuality, comedy and debauchery, bands, stalls selling fetish and alternative items and more.

Entertainers lined up for October 9’s wrath-themed launch night include leading Japanese fetish and bondage star Yusura Hime and Emma Alexa’s fetish dance troupe The Feterati Girls in their world première performance. The fashion show at the new venue will present renowned British “bondage fashion” label Rubber55 in their first ever club performance. Further fashion shows will feature new label Violaceous Latex and a pole-based performance by new Dimensionis dancewear label, also featuring pasties by Nyuszi’s Secret.

Other live acts include Rose Thorne performing her Squaw Blimey show, tribal fusion bellydancing from Leah Debrincat, Kiki Kaboom’s wrathful fetish chav show and Dolly BlowUp’s fembot with exploding boobs. Installations and demos will be provided by Dee Bee (violet wand), sex0r (snakes, blood and sex), Professor Newbury & hollykins (corporal punishment, robot-style), and Carli Jefferson (post her an instruction in her paper house and watch her follow obediently!).

Acclaimed fetish fine art photographer Emma Delves-Broughton will be signing copies of hew new Goliath Portfolio photo-book Kinky Nature, a collectable yet affordable tome featuring well-known fetish models playing at babes in the wood.
There’ll be goodie-bags for everyone who has made a real effort with their outfit, and for those turning up in latex, there’ll also be an exclusive pjur Reshine Station where they can get themselves buffed up by such fetish lovelies as Easy Tiger and Laura Strawberry.

Live music will be provided by Natubella, XES-1 and Sister Suicide, while guest DJs Allen TG and The Secretary (aka Charlotte TG) will be adding their talents to those of resident Festival of Sins DJs Guy Thompson, David de Vynel, Simon Iridium, Paul Burston, Markabre Charade, Lacing Lilith and Louis Parsons.
Expect an eclectic mix of Dirty Electro, Twisted Electronica, Industrial, House, Breaks, Dubstep, Alternative, Deviant Rock and Glitter–Glam with sprinkles of Dark Burlesque and Sexy Mash-up, and you won’t go far wrong.

The new venue where Festival of Sins will host its bi-monthly events from October 9 onwards is The Den & Centro, a 1,000-plus capacity club (formerly The End) at 18a West Central Street, London WC1, near Tottenham Court Road.
