Club RUB’s Adventures in Wonderland 17th April

By on March 13, 2010

13 years may not seem such a long time, but it is a long time in the world of London fetish clubs that we seem to take for granted now… So Club RUB is at one and the same time, still young and also quite venerable as it celebrates its 13th birthday. Club RUB’s patrons have always responded enthusiastically and creatively to the monthly themes that are a very long-standing club tradition; on Saturday they are invited to put  their darkest twist on the very much theme-of-the moment: Alice-in-Wonderland

The party will play host to a variety of characters from the famous children’s story, including The Mad Hatter, The White Rabbit, and The Queen of Hearts. There will be performances from Beatrix Carlotta with a White Rabbit-inspired performance entitled ‘Painting the Roses Red’ and Mindy the Minx with a Twisted Alice burlesque show. Not forgetting the regular performers, fetish dance troupe Saut de Basque.

Club RUB will be transforming The Lightbox, Vaxhaull, with pink flamingos, huge playing cards and a large and flamboyant table especially for the Mad Hatter. Join White Rabbit as he pours his potent vodka punch from a rubber teapot.

Kim, the Club RUB promoter says…
“It’s so exciting to have reached our 13th birthday. So many memories! It’s just goes to show; trends may come and go but fetish is here to stay. Club RUB really has proved that. The theme is a particular favourite of mine, as Alice In Wonderland was my favourite book. All the characters are so weird and wonderful. Add a bit of fetish and you have something very special”

Club RUB will be awarding trophy prizes and gifts to the best-dressed guests. Prizes include a £75 voucher for fetish boutique Lacing Lilith, three top hats courtesy of The Cotswold Country Hat Company, and a red corset sponsored by Corset-UK.

‘MALICE in Wonderland’ starts at 10.30pm, at the Lightbox, 6a South Lambeth Place, Vauxhall, London SW8 1SP, on Saturday 17th April. For full details, go to
