Christopher Hutchison

Christopher Hutchison claims not to be an artist. He has no no training and nothing more sophisticated than a Panasonic compact camera in his pocket. He says he is not even a good photographer.

Pathology rather than art, his photomontages represent a natural continuation of childhood obsessions that would lead him in his teenage school years to ’pataphysics, Dada, surrealism and to a worship, bordering on the disquietingly fanatical, of Marcel Duchamp, Kurt Schwitters, and Pierre Molinier.

He lives in London in the shadow of his ineffably talented partner, Lady Lydia, the Singing Mistress
