BDSM in Sheffield – Nemesis at La Chambre

By on March 5, 2012

Nemesis is a very well established outfit, based in Yorkshire. We know them well, as they did a super job providing and running the dungeon for the first two years of Skin Two North in Leeds. So we went to take a look at a current project of theirs – a monthly fetish night in Sheffield.

Like most of the fetish scene outside London, the first thing to strike you about Nemesis is the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a newcomer or experienced, whether you just want so socialise or you want to play, whatever you particular kink, you will feel at home right away.

The venue is just about perfect. La Chambre is mostly used for swinger parties and the upper floor is full of romantic nooks and crannies, where you can take your partner. On fetish nights, these spaces are mainly used for private SM scenes – perfect if you don’t want to put on a show.

The ground floor has a bar and plenty of comfortable seating – this is where you’ll hang out and socialise. Newcomers will probably spend most of their time here.

Then, if you’re feeling pervy, you can venture down to the cellars below. These are kitted out with all kinds of dungeon gear, which you are welcome to play with.

Nemesis is on the third Thursday of every month, from 8:30 pm to 1:30 am at La Chambre, 548 Attercliffe Rd, Sheffield S9 3QP. Parking is no problem and there are several reasonably priced hotels nearby. (We stayed at the Premier Inn at Meadowhall, which is fine.)

I recommend Nemesis warmly. They don’t have their own website, but you can track them down on www.informedconsent.co.uk Or simply turn up on the third Thursday and have fun.
